To my dearest Gilda, love of my life. Take a look around at your new blog! I have already uploaded the poems you wrote that were on your old blog. I adore and admire you and your talent! You bring such joy and happiness to my life, and with this blog I hope you will further touch the lives of others as well. (The gift that just keeps on giving!)
Here’s a quote from your favorite president:
“And in the end, it’s not the years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years.” ~~Abraham Lincoln
Happy Birthday!!

Querida Primita,

I love you very much and you’re very dear to me. We grew up together In Panama with abuelita and that was special times. I myself just turned 33 yesterday and wow, it seems crazy we are up here in age already, how time flies by and you didn’t even notice.
Here is my favorite quote, it was a saying that my father use to say all the time to Julie and I.
“it is better to like and grow to love, than to love and run out of it and have nothing” by: Demetrios Farrell
Cousin, i wish you the best in the world and to your family as well. It is a beautiful thing to have and enjoy. Though far in distance, close in thought and feeling. Life is to be lived in a meaningful way, and by what i read and comprehend, you are doing just that. I too have Poetry that i write, as i love to express my feelings in such a way that could be abstract, sometimes blunt. Other times, it is an analogy to my life other times, it’s just how hard life is to live and choose the right path. In the end, we are what we put into ourselves; we are an extension on our soul that has the capability of achieving vast thought and feeling within. Thy life we live will not always be there for us, but our spirits will. Therefore, we need to be pure and live fully and in “love”. When the times come, there shall be no regrets in thy heart. Love you, with all my heart… Jimmy.

Gilda,
I do not know where these sayings came from, but I cannot help but think about how they remind me of you:
1. “Kind words can be short & easy to speak, but their
echoes are truly endless.”
2. “Some people complain because God put thorns on roses,
while others praise Him for putting roses among thorns.”
3. “Life is not a problem to be solved, but a gift to be
enjoyed.”
Proverbs 16:24 Psalm 118:24
Have a wonderful birthday; you certainly deserve it!

Gilda,
Happy Belated Birthday! I’m so sorry I missed it we were in the middle of the Caribbean. I’m guessing you had a Fabulous birthday. Tell that cousin of mine to come and rub off on my husband a little bit. He would never think of something like this. Take Care.
