Regrets
I have always thought of people who say “I have no regrets” as liars or diluted in some way. I guess because I am a hard headed learner, I have to run head on into a bad situation, apply a bad decision and analyze my bad results in order to learn. So needless to say, this method of learning creates numerable regrets. I have special regrets, regrets I am grateful for and regrets I regret having…
Recently, upon confessing a regret, a wise person said to me: there are times when we forgive others even when they don’t ask or deserve our forgiveness, there is also a time when we must forgive ourselves in the same way.
So, I forgive myself for my regrets, but regretable, I still regret certain things, but there is value in it and it is this: I don’t want to do that again to another person and most of all I do not want to do that again to myself.

To my dearest Gilda, love of my life. Take a look around at your new blog! I have already uploaded the poems you wrote that were on your old blog. I adore and admire you and your talent! You bring such joy and happiness to my life, and with this blog I hope you will further touch the lives of others as well. (The gift that just keeps on giving!)
Here’s a quote from your favorite president:
“And in the end, it’s not the years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years.” ~~Abraham Lincoln
Happy Birthday!!
Love,
Craig
